Q: What version of McGuffey Readers are included?
All books are the Revised Editions, circa 1879.
Q: Why can't I change the text size like I can in iBooks and other ebook readers?
Most ebook readers only deal well with paragraphs of text and an occassional picture. In these, changing font sizes doesn't have much impact on the layout.
McGuffey Readers, on the other hand, contain tables, pictures, and other items that don't work well with traditional ebook readers. Additionally, many of the
lessons in the McGuffey Readers are presented on a single page. Changing font sizes would end up splitting the lessons across two or more pages, which makes following
the lessons more difficult.
This lead to the decision to present the pages layed out in the same format as those of the original books.
