New Orleans Swamp Monsters

I am currently doing research for an article in New Orleans and mysterious happenings. I have tons of material on ghosts and Voodoo, but none on monsters. It seems that in the recesses of my memory there is a creature, much like a big foot story, of the swamps of New Orleans.
